Queenstown
|

All in all we spent 3 nights in Queenstown...hari sampai tu dah malam so x sempat laa nk buat ape2...in the morning we went to the information centre to check out what extreme stuff we can do...kitorg amek combo package which included shotover jet, helicopter ride and rafting..$299..fuhhh  ...and booked our ski trip for the next day...for the ski kitorg amek package starter pack...including transport to the ski area Coronet's Peak (45min from Queenstown)..equipment and 2 piece of clothing..(kak Effa pinjamkan ski pants..so i took the gloves, jacket and goggles)...and two lessons...
lepas dah book sume2 tu (berlubang gak laa pocket  ) kitorg pegi naek gondola aka cable car naek Queenstown hill...nampak laa all the surroundings..lake Wakatipu...then we went to the ski shop to pick out our clothings and get our ski pass...at around noon kitorg tunggu bas yg bawak pegi tpt shotover jet...
shotover jet tu naek jetboat yg laju gile n extreme...lalu kat shotover canyon..pastu die buat aa macam nak langgar2 batu ngan tebing2...n the signature 360 degrees turn...air yg sejuk gile tu pon terpercik2 laaa..rase macam kene cucuk2 sbb freezing gile!!!!  best gile laaaa...xde gamba sbb ade laa professional fotographer amek gamba kitorg tapi mahal sgt laaa...
then we went to get our rafting gear on...wet suit and the lot...dah siap tu die bawak kitorg pergi airport where we get on the helicopter that'll take us to the rafting site...heli ride was also extreme..pusing2 and corner2..amazing views too...
then rafting dekat kawarau river...sejuk gile!!!  balik tu dah dekat malam..jalan2 check out Queenstown town...
Esoknye pegi skiing..complicated gile equipment die hehe...kene ukur n fitted..we got a cute ski instructor  i was quite terrer laaa..got "excellent, good job" from him  hehe..lepas laa buat "wedge" nak stop, turns...the weather was good in the morning...but after lunch in turned into a blizzard!!angin kuat gile x dengar ape instructor cakap!! basah kuyup sbb snow turun dgn banyaknye...visibility pon rendah..but we kept on skiing...

Dunedin and on the way to Queenstown

Because we didn't get to ski in Mt Hutt, we changed our plans and drove straight to Dunedin instead on the 5th...arrived there around 8pm..tinggal kat rumah kawan dekat city...
Pagi tu kitorg pg jalan2 Dunedin...tgk University of Otago...cun gak..pastu checked out the world's steepest street..Baldwin Street...gile cerun!!mmg x nampak sgt dlm gamba..tapi depan mate mmg cerun...lepas tu we visited the Cadbury factory in the city...went with the tour inside the factory...got free chocs  ..jihan jgn jeles!!! chocs kat NZ mmg best2!! x jumpe kat aussie bcoz they don't export to aussie...I left with $15 worth of chocs!! x bleh resist btol laaa... 
then we drove to Queenstown...about 4hrs journey...on the way passed lots of sheep farm...gunung2...and fruit orchard..we stopped at the roadside stall to buy some apples...murah n best gile apple die...
sampai Queenstown dah malam...we just checked in into our backpackers...our room ade one single bed and one queen bed...bathroom..tv...kettle..coffee tea..towels stc...not bad at all...

1st taste if NZ..

We arrived in Christchurch at 12.30 am..got our car and drove to Ana's place in Ilam..Ana xde tapi die tinggalkan kunci kat org..so we overnight there...then in the morning we drove to Mt Hutt (about 1 1/2 hrs drive from Christchurch) and planned to ski there, but the ski area was closed that day due to low visibility/bad weather...really amazing scenery on the way there..snowy mountains and rocky river...i think we passed a deer farm...road was icy (i was driving)..but we learnt quick...just took it slowly...
So we didn't get to ski there, but we found a spot dekat kaki mt hutt tu...ade byk snow and ramai org maen snow and sledge dekat situ...so kitorg pon join laaa n buat snowman (but ours turned out to be a "snowgranny" hehe )...sejuk? not too bad laaa...something dramatic happened..i lost the car key in the snow  !!! tercicir dari pocket...ingatkan dah takde harapan dah...korek punye korek terjumpe plak..Alhamdulillah....
all in all..it was great fun!!
